Bingo Lingo is my way of explaining the terms used in the world of Bingo! Bingo has its own language and if you're new to the game you may get lost trying to understand what others are saying or what some of the games are called. So we have compiled some of the most frequently used terms and have written them here for you to make cheat sheets from or to memorize if you wish. Lol Bingo Board This is that big lit up board with a the pretty numbers that hopefully match the numbers on your bingo cards as the caller announce each one as it's drawn Chat Room This is the little area on the screen of the bingo room where you can talk with other players or ask the bingo moderator some questions if you have any. Consolation Prize This is the prize or prizes given out for a bingo game that originally had a jackpot prize for anyone who got a bingo before a certain number of numbers are called. For example, a "special game" is played for a jackpot if someone can bingo before 45 balls have been called. If no one wins by the 46th ball is called then there is no more jackpot and only a smaller consolation prize can be won. Early Bird Games These are games that are played before the regularly scheduled games begin. Game Room When entering an online bingo lobby you will see different doors to different rooms for bingo. Each one is either a different style of bingo or the amount of money needed to play is different. So you have many choices when entering a bingo hall online which makes the game fun and always different. Hard way Bingo This is a pattern needed to win a bingo game called a "hard way". You need to get 5 numbers one for each column under the letters B I N G O, you may use the "free space" that's in the "N" column as a wild spot and the numbers must be inline to win. Blackout Bingo This is a "full card" bingo where every number must be covered to win. Most of the time this is also a jackpot bingo with a bigger prize than in any other game. |

Six Pack Bingo This is where you must have six numbers in a block to bingo. This type of bingo can be made any where on the card as long as you have six numbers that are in a block formation Nine Pack Bingo Same type of game as a "six pack game" except you must have nine numbers forming a block to bingo Postage Stamp Bingo This bingo is done in the corners of your card. You have 4 corners to make a postage stamp which will be 4 numbers in a block. Example 2 "B" numbers and 2 "I" numbers in the top left corner would be a postage stamp pattern Alias This is your user name in the chat at a bingo. Not the same as your sign in name when logging in to the bingo hall. It's a separate nickname to use during the bingo games Bingo Card These are the cards in which you play the bingo game on. They have 25 blocks with random numbers on them from the total numbers in the game of 75 Free Space This is a wild spot in the middle of the bingo card that can be used to make any bingo pattern you are trying to get. Money Ball This is a ball that is called before the game begins and will be the "wild" number if you happen to bingo with that number your winnings are doubled! Wild Numbers Some games will have a wild number determined by the first ball called in the game. If the number 12 is the first ball, then all numbers on your card ending with the number 2, such as 2, 12, 22, 32, 42, 52, 62 and 72 will be covered and then the game will begin. Pull Tabs These are extra little games you can buy to play that can win you money buy pulling the tabs on them and finding three of the same object in a row. Something like a scratch off ticket you would by at a store except you need to pull the tabs instead of scratching off to find a prize. |
